Linode launched in 2003 as one of the first developer-focused VPS providers and was acquired by Akamai in 2022, folding into its edge network. It is known for stability and a clean control panel, with users reporting years without an outage. Coverage spans thirty-odd regions at pricing comparable to DigitalOcean — above budget hosts, but you are buying network quality and a compliance story.
